Senior Human Resources Business Partner

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner will provide a broad range of HR services in support of business objectives. You will collaborate with managers, employees, and the HR team to improve organizational capability through the implementation of new HRIS/ATS solutions, drive culture change, and support the continued development of our trust-based workplace culture.

Your Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in human resources in Generalist, Business Partner, or Specialist role supporting leaders and being an employee champion.
  • Demonstrated HR experience in the following disciplines: talent acquisition, DEI program support, training, HRIS/ATS administration, policy management, employee relations, performance management, benefits, compensation, and change management.
  • Ability to design employee experience programs that position employees for success and support their performance and growth during their tenure.
  • Ability to support business goals and people strategy and recommend new improvements in people practices.
  • Ability to own and drive multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize based on company and team objectives.
  • Role model for Inclusion and Belonging.
  • Ability to be a strong team player on a small team - willing to wear multiple hats and consider no task too small.
  • Excellent emotional intelligence (EQ) and an empathetic communication style that fosters connection, collaboration, and confidence.
  • Ability to lead efficiently under pressure, drive projects to completion, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work onsite in Santa Cruz, CA approximately one day per week. Our employees are currently working remotely.

Our Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing diversity and inclusion programs and passion for inclusion and diversity.
  • Confident and able to influence others and utilize coaching and facilitation skills to support an inclusive, high performing culture of belonging.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Advanced skill with Microsoft products including creating PowerPoint presentations, writing policies and documenting processes, creating reports in Excel.
  • Industry experience in non-profit sector.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification or comparable experience and training is preferred.

Work Environment and Location: The work environment is an office setting and is temporarily remote due to COVID. Ecology Action has implemented a hybrid model that includes both in-office and remote work.

Compensation: Ecology Action offers a competitive salary, and a generous benefit package that includes medical, dental, vision and flexible spending benefits; a 401k-retirement plan with a 4% match; and group life insurance. Salary determined based on skills and experience of final candidate.
