We are seeking an Entry Level Energy Efficiency Sales Consultant to work in the field in the Bay Area. This position will require a passion for building relationships in the small business and hospitality market by working closely with business owners and other decision makers while selling appropriate energy upgrades. The Entry Level Energy Efficiency Sales Consultant will visit customers to evaluate their energy systems, identify appropriate upgrades, and sell the benefits of the recommended measures. The market focus includes small to medium size businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Development of sales lead, proposal, work order and work order deviation for sales prospects within SaleForce.com
  • Interface with sales prospects to uncover; types of existing technology in use, interest level in upgrading to new/current technology, current budget for upgrades
  • Schedule energy assessment meetings with potencial customers
  • Interact with internal program partners and individual outside program representatives
  • Conduct lead generation marketing using internal proprietary CRM database
  • Conduct comprehensive energy efficiency audits
  • Gather energy end use information for customers
  • Ensure accurate customer information is entered into the audit and design tools provided
  • Conduct post-installation quality control inspections
  • Employ a continuous program improvement process in the daily workflow
  • Work to ensure high levels of customer service and satisfaction
  • Thrive in a competitive environment by reaching and exceeding sales quotas
  • Approach and build relationships with decision makers and prospective business participants in the markets noted above
  • Cold call with a "no fear" persistent attitude.

  Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • 1 year Customer Service or Sales Experience
  • Ability to build pipelines superb time management and organization
  • Ability to work alone and be self-motivated
  • Accuracy with reporting analysis and ability for strong attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt work style and approach to evolving market conditions
  • Computer proficiency
  • Excellent oral communication and presentation skills

Education/Training

  • BA/BS or five years experience in a professional setting.

Work Environment: Generally, the work environment is in the field with minimal time in the office. A personal vehicle is required and mileage will be reimbursed as per federal guidelines.

Compensation: The compensation for this position consists of an annual base salary and an additional annual incentive paid monthly based on kilowatt hours saved. Ecology Action offers a competitive generous benefit package that includes a 401k retirement plan with immediate vesting of the 4% employer match.
