Summary

Ecology Action has an opening for a Program Manager based out of our Santa Cruz Headquarters. The Program Manager will be responsible for tactical management of multiple energy efficiency programs; including multi-year utility funded contracts and programs delivered directly on behalf of large commercial end-users.

Responsibilities

  • Management of multiple energy efficiency programs; including multi-year utility funded contracts and programs delivered directly on behalf of large commercial end-users.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with utility clients and business partners to ensure the highest level of client satisfaction, retention, and future business expansion.
  • Rapidly conduct utility and direct customer reporting protocol feasibility analyses and develop detailed delivery solutions for a varied portfolio of programs.
  • Rapid change management; a key aspect of successful Program Management as a result of frequent regulatory changes and/or shifts in client business needs that directly impact Ecology Action systems and requirements.
  • Regular program reporting activities including annual, quarterly, and monthly forecasts and ad-hoc reports for both direct clients and sub-clients such as Local Government Partners and Monthly and sometimes weekly reporting of completed projects via each client's upload/reporting tools
  • Management of post-installation utility inspection procedures to ensure savings claims are upheld and or corrected based on inspector feedback
  • Coordinate directly with Ecology Action accounting team to ensure all information required to process partner rebate and finance payments is accurate and on time
  • Constant process improvement; developing a deep understanding of cradle to grave program processes in order to ensure opportunities for efficiency improvements are identified, implemented, and that impacted staff receive the training required for success
  • Clear, timely and proactive client communications ensuring a sense of responsiveness and attention to critical client needs at all times

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Minimum of 3-year Experience working on Energy Efficiency Programs
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, with a high proficiency in MS Excel
  • Strong verbal communication, presentation, and technical writing skills
  • BA/BS Required

  • 1+ Year Experience with Salesforce-based software tools

Delivery Management

  • Apply process, technology and industry knowledge to design solutions for clients.
  • Quickly understand new program requirements and coordinate with internal support teams to ensure they have considered all aspects of successful program delivery.
  • Collaborate with the internal delivery team and provide oversight to ensure that program requirements are understood and clearly communicated.
  • Rapidly assess operational capacity to determine the feasibility of efficient program delivery.
  • Provide forecasts and track/analyze revenue variance. Review program service margins and work with delivery team on plans to improve financial performance.
  • Quickly assess and adapt to change and address issues through clear, strategic resolution.
  • Work with delivery team to drive the development of a process improvement plans to enhance operational and financial performance.

Client Management

  • Participate in off-site weekly/monthly client meetings in-person and via conference calls and remote presentation software.
  • Establish reporting coordination strategy with delivery team and deliver as agreed upon with the client and any external reviewers.
  • Participate in periodic meetings with client program management partners to understand the current business landscape, as well as upcoming changes.
  • Develop a trusted relationship with the client enabling issues and opportunities to be addressed with a spirit of partnership.
  • Coordinate reviews of client operational metrics, translate metrics to business information, and oversee the development of action plans as agreed upon with the client.
  • Facilitate operational planning and logistics for client business events.

New Business Development

  • Identify new service and expansion opportunities within existing client contracts.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the services that are delivered in our target markets and make recommendations to enhance processes creating added value to existing and potential new clients.

Work Environment:  Generally, the work environment is located in and Ecology Action office or home office with frequent travel to offsite meetings.
